Ask for informationThe Petrobailer passive skimmer is a device designed for the selective recovery of floating oils and hydrocarbons in wells and bodies of water, through a passive system that requires no external energy. Its design efficiently captures free products (LNAPL), minimizing water intake and ensuring a representative recovery of the contaminant.
Manufactured from materials resistant to chemicals and corrosion, the Petrobailer offers durability and reliability in environmental and industrial applications. Its simple operation makes it an ideal solution for environmental monitoring, groundwater remediation, and spill control, especially in remote or hard-to-access locations.
This skimmer is widely used by environmental technicians and remediation personnel, providing consistent and reproducible results in hydrocarbon recovery campaigns.
- Passive system, no external energy required
- Selective capture of floating hydrocarbons (LNAPL)
- Minimizes water uptake
- Materials resistant to chemicals and corrosion
- Robust and user-friendly design
- Suitable for environmental and industrial applications
- Recovery of free-phase products (LNAPL) in monitoring wells
- Groundwater remediation
- Spill and hydrocarbon contamination control
- On-site environmental monitoring
- Industrial and environmental remediation projects
The installation of the Petrobailer skimmer is simple and is completed in just a few steps. First, measure and record the level of the phase and its thickness in the well. Tie a suspension rope of the required length to the ring at the top of the Petrobailer until it is centered in the well. Slowly lower the Petrobailer into the well. After a few minutes of immersion, the separation will be easily done. The hydrophobic membrane can be slightly submerged preventing water from entering the reservoir tube. However, it is recommended not to submerge it to avoid water penetration into the storage tank. Finally, remove the Petrobailer periodically from the well, unscrew the upper part and empty the contents into a suitable container. After each emptying, take back the measurement of the free phase to reinstall the skimmer.
- Simple operation and energy-free consumption
- High efficiency in hydrocarbon recovery
- Ideal for monitoring wells and remote locations
- Low maintenance and easy handling
- Representative and reliable results
- Reduces operational costs in remediation projects
