The PF50 Poski floating skimmer is a surface extraction device designed to recover surface fluids, especially hydrocarbons, oils, or other light pollutants present on bodies of water or in tanks, pits, and separators. Manufactured by Poski under the brand Sarl Sorepol, this skimmer combines lightness, robustness, and ease of use for environmental remediation and treatment operations.

Based on a self-priming diaphragm pneumatic pump, the PF50 Poski floats on the surface thanks to its floating nozzles and suctions the surface phase from an adjustable pumping height, allowing precise extraction of the light layer without extracting clean water. It is suitable for both technical field applications and integration into industrial water treatment and remediation processes.

  • Self-priming diaphragm pneumatic pump: allows self-start and operation without prior priming.
  • Stable flotation: 4 nozzles that keep the skimmer at the water/overflown fluid interface.
  • Adjustable extraction depth: adapts to the thickness of the product layer to be recovered.
  • High discharge height: capacity to lift the recovered fluid up to 70 m (depending on configuration).
  • Membrane and valve configurations: according to fluid type (Santoprène®, PTFE, stainless steel, or others).
  • Available options: versions compatible with explosive atmospheres (ATEX), solid particle handling, cable guidance, etc.
  • Variable flow rate: depending on the pump configuration and fluid viscosity
  • Soil and water remediation — recovery of light hydrocarbon layers in wells, pits, and trenches.
  • Hydrocarbon separators — extraction of oil and floating products in treatment systems.
  • Metallurgical and mechanical industry — removal of surface oils and fats in discharge pits.
  • Petroleum processes — recovery of light layers in API tanks and purification of drilling fluids.
  • Wastewater treatment plants — extraction of fats and oils in settlers and lagoons.
  • Environmental control in communities — management of water lenses, mine drainage, or recovery of surface layers in municipal pits.

The PF50 Poski floating skimmer operates through a double diaphragm pneumatic pump that sucks the lighter layer present on the water surface. Mounted on floats, the skimmer automatically positions itself at the interface between water and the overlying phase (such as oil or grease).

The suction height is adjustable by sliding, allowing the inlet to be positioned exactly where the layer to be recovered is located. Once in operation, the equipment extracts the supernatant and transports it through a discharge pipe to the desired storage or treatment point.

Membranes, valves, and other components can be adapted to the type of fluid (e.g., oil products, fats, or emulsions), making the PF50 Poski versatile even when site conditions vary.

  • Precise recovery of the supernatant layer, avoiding the extraction of clean water.
  • Lightweight and easy to install, even in confined spaces or hard-to-reach pits.
  • High discharge height, reducing the need for auxiliary pumping equipment.
  • Flexible and configurable, with material options and adaptations according to the target fluid.
  • Compatible with demanding environments, including potentially explosive areas (ATEX version).
