The Solinst Tag Line features a weight attached to a laser-marked cable or tape and is primarily designed for use during the installation of monitoring wells. The Tag Line also provides a simple method for measuring the depth to the bottom of a well.

The Tag Line is perfect for use when installing Solinst Model 403 CMT multilevel systems, as it easily measures the depth to the top of the sand or bentonite layer during the finalization of a well. It is also ideal as a marked support line for multiple uses.

The cable or tape is mounted on a separate and sturdy reel with a carrying handle, weight hanger, and brake.

The standard stainless steel weight is 1.5 lb (0.68 kg) and measures 3/4" x 1 foot (19 mm x 30 cm). There is also the option of a narrow weight, 1/2" x 1 foot (13 mm x 30 cm), which weighs 0.65 lb (0.30 kg). The weights have tapered ends to minimize snags while lowering and retrieving, and they can be mounted and removed from the cable or tape. This allows the laser-marked cable or tape mounted on the reel to serve other purposes.
