Description

The Tag Line 103 is a field instrument designed to accurately determine the depth to the bottom of a well or borehole and the fill layers during installation. It consists of a marked laser cable or tape mounted on a robust reel with a carrying handle, brake, and weight support. The laser marking at regular intervals facilitates visible and continuous readings as the cable/tape is lowered or raised, allowing reliable and repeatable measurements in various field and work conditions.

Performance

1. Deployment: The laser-marked cable or tape is lowered from the reel until it reaches the bottom of the well or the desired measurement point.
2. Depth reading: When the weight reaches the bottom, the cable/tape becomes slack; it is gently withdrawn and the depth reading is taken from the laser marks.
3. Use as support: If the weight is removed, the cable/tape can serve as a support line for pumps, samplers, or other devices, maintaining the known depth mark.
