Genie® skimmers are safe, reliable and complete systems for removing floating LNAPL layers from wells. The skimmers come in two versions: auto and programmable. Both the SPG and SOS® AutoGenie™ Genie® and Programmable Genie® skimmers are air-operated selective LNAPL removal systems with a high suction pump and a floating inlet designed to follow the LNAPL layer as the ground water level fluctuates.
The QED AutoGenie™ 2-4" skimmer system is an automated solution designed for the recovery of floating hydrocarbons and LNAPL in environmental remediation and groundwater applications. It combines an adjustable 2 to 4-inch skimmer with a high-capacity pneumatic pump to ensure continuous and efficient free product recovery.
Designed for hydrocarbon recovery projects, spill response and environmental monitoring, the system enables controlled contaminant extraction while minimizing emulsification and reducing VOC emissions thanks to its bladder pump technology.
The AutoGenie™ system is manufactured with materials resistant to chemicals and corrosive environments, providing high durability and reliability in refineries, industrial facilities, mining operations and environmental remediation sites.
- All Genie® skimmer systems pump the LNAPL using a special bladder pump with high suction capability, positioned above the floating inlet section of the system.
- The use of a bladder pump eliminates air contact with the LNAPL fluids, minimizing emulsification and eliminating VOC emissions.
- The AutoGenie™ uses an integral pneumatic timer to control the pump fill and discharge times
- The Programmable Genie uses an electronic controller mounted outside the well to allow adjustment of pump cycles and off times
- A complete line of matched accessories is available to help with installation and performance, including in-well tubing, well caps, ON/OFF timers, LNAPL collection tank full shutoffs and other items

The QED Genie 2-4" System combines a 2 to 4" adjustable mechanical skimmer with an extraction pump, allowing for the continuous recovery of floating hydrocarbons. The skimmer captures the surface liquid while the pump maintains a constant flow to the storage or sampling system.
