Disposable samplers or bailers made of polyethylene, PVC, or Teflon are simple and cost-effective devices that allow sampling in wells (groundwater) or tanks. BIODEGRADABLE

Available for piezometers of 1, 2, and up to 4".

• Depending on the water to be sampled, samplers can be selected from different materials (PE, PVC, and Teflon).

• The sampling capacity or volume of the sampler also comes in different varieties, from 250mL to 4L.

• They are available in packs of 24 with a standard emptying system.

• Option: slow emptying system for VOC sampling (volatile organic compounds).

• An engineering additive helps these samplers be more biodegradable than typical plastic products (According to the additive tests conducted under the ASTM D5511 test method).

  • Groundwater sampling in wells and piezometers
  • Surface water collection from rivers, lakes, and bodies of water
  • Water quality control in laboratories
  • Environmental monitoring campaigns
  • Environmental consultancies and field technicians

When the sampler enters the well, upon contacting the water, a ball located at the bottom of the sampler begins to float (it moves from the base of the bailers) allowing the entry of water into the sampler.

Once the sampler is full, the rope is tightened or shaken a couple of times to settle the ball at the bottom of the sampler and prevent water from escaping. Once removed from the well, the sampler can be emptied using the built-in emptying device.

The disposable sampler is for single use, thereby avoiding problems of cross-contamination and cleaning.

  • More biodegradable: All Geobailers are more biodegradable than traditional plastics. A special additive breaks down the plastic more quickly. The additive makes the plastic an attractive food source for certain soil microbes, helping the plastic to be rapidly consumed once discarded.
  • Laboratory Certified: Geobailers are batch certified by the NELAC laboratory to be free of contaminants and suitable for environmental sampling.
  • Manufactured under strict clean conditions: Made with FDA-approved high-density polyethylene resin. The polyethylene used contains no additives or plasticizers.
  • Improved design: Geotech's "Orbit Flux" design fills 33% faster than other bailers.
  • V-space for knot allows seamless attachment of the rope.
  • Optional double check valve: isolates the sample, thereby sealing the bailer as it is removed from the well at specific depths.
  • Pressurized disposable bailer: This disposable Geobailer conveniently allows the use of dispos-a-filters™ inline in the field, even when no pumps are available. By using a hand pneumatic pump, you can filter your samples directly from the bailer, thus saving time while maintaining sample integrity.
