Ask for informationThe Activated Carbon Filter for Water Treatment is a system designed for the removal of organic contaminants, chlorine, odors, tastes, and dissolved chemical compounds present in the water. Thanks to the high adsorbent capacity of activated carbon, this filter is an effective solution for improving water quality in environmental, industrial, and technical applications, as well as in sampling and preconditioning processes before analysis.
Its robust and versatile design allows its integration into both portable systems and temporary or permanent installations, making it suitable for the treatment of groundwater, surface water, or process water. The filter helps obtain more representative samples and protects downstream equipment, such as pumps, sensors, and analytical instrumentation.
The Activated Carbon Filter for Water Treatment is widely used in environmental projects, hydrogeological studies, remediation, and water quality control, offering reliable and consistent performance even in demanding working conditions.
The filters are made of carbon steel and additionally receive internal and external treatment by immersion and base priming. Subsequently, they are painted by electrostatic projection of epoxy polyester powder paint.
The base of the interior of the filter can be designed with sieves or collector arms, according to needs.
Designed to work with low filtration speeds, that is, those between 5 and 10 m/h.
Additionally, they have filling and emptying ports that facilitate cleaning tasks. Possibility of ebonite manufacturing, specifically indicated for seawater.
Possibility of installing a backwashing system for the maintenance of the filters. This cleaning is carried out by flow inversion or by regeneration of the filter material.
Operating pressure:
– Maximum pressure: 8 kg/cm2
– Maximum available pressure: 16 kg/cm2
– Test pressure: 12 kg/cm2
Potable water treatment, desalination, wastewater, process water recirculation, water purification, pollutant absorption.
These filters can also be used with silica sand, volcanic sand, and anthracite.
The Activated Carbon Filter for Water Treatment is installed in the water flow line, allowing water to pass through the activated carbon filter media. During this process, organic pollutants, chlorine, and other chemical compounds are adsorbed onto the porous surface of the carbon, while the water continues on its now-treated path.
This adsorption mechanism significantly improves the physico-chemical quality of the water, reduces interferences in subsequent analyses, and contributes to the protection of downstream equipment. To maintain optimal performance, periodic replacement of the activated carbon is recommended once its adsorption capacity is reached.
