The probe 201 is made of high-quality 316 stainless steel. The pressure-proof probe can be submerged along the entire length of the tape. The zero measurement point of the probe is near the tip, maintaining water displacement at a minimum. A probe cover protects the sensor tip.
The temperature sensor is located at the tip of the stainless steel probe, however, since the probe body acts as a heat conductor, the best resolution is achieved when the probe is fully submerged. The tape seal and its design allow the probe to be easily disconnected for replacement if necessary.
The Solinst 201 Level and Temperature Probe is designed for precise monitoring of groundwater and surface water, allowing simultaneous measurement of water level and temperature in monitoring wells, lakes, rivers, and environmental stations. Its compact and robust design ensures high durability and reliability, even in demanding field conditions.
Manufactured with corrosion and chemical-resistant materials, this probe offers repeatable and accurate measurements, being compatible with Solinst datalogging and data recording systems. Its installation is simple and quick, saving time and effort in monitoring campaigns.
The Solinst 201 probe is ideal for environmental technicians, hydrogeologists, and laboratories, providing key information for hydrogeological studies, environmental remediation, and water quality control.

Water temperature has a direct effect on the biological activity in aquatic plants and animals, as well as on many aspects of water quality and chemistry, therefore it is a very important parameter to monitor.
The Model 201 Water Level and Temperature is ideal for:
- Temperature profiling in wells and open waters
- Detection of leaks or inflows from other thermal pollution sources
- Early warning in changes of water quality, including dissolved oxygen levels and conductivity
- Monitoring and prediction of changes in aquatic environments
- Geothermal drilling and research
It operates through integrated sensors that simultaneously record the water level and temperature. The data can be stored or transmitted to dataloggers for continuous and reliable analysis. Its robust and corrosion-resistant construction ensures stable and long-lasting measurements, making it an essential tool for environmental monitoring projects and hydrogeological studies.
- Accurate and reliable field measurements
- High durability and chemical resistance
- Quick and easy installation
- Compatible with Solinst data logging systems
- Versatile for environmental and hydrogeological applications
- Dependable results for continuous analysis and monitoring
