The HI9829 is a portable, waterproof multi-parameter meter that measures and records up to 14 different water parameters; pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and temperature (optional: ammonium, chloride, nitrate) through a multi-sensor probe. Easy to set up and use. Simple meter to configure and easy to use.

GPS Receiver (optional)
An optional GPS provides location tracking of the measurements.
The HI9829 multiparameter device features a 12-channel GPS receiver that calculates the position to pinpoint measurement locations along with the data. The display shows GPS coordinates with up to 10 measurement parameters, displays GPS signal strength, and the number of satellites.
This system allows storing the last location, date, and time when the signal is lost, and personalized users can associate GPS coordinates with alphanumeric locations.

- Waterproof protection: the water quality meter is housed in a water-resistant case with an IP67 rating that can withstand immersion in water up to 1m deep for up to 30 minutes. The probe has an IP68 rating for continuous immersion in water.
- Backlit dot-matrix LCD display: the HI9829 meter features a backlit graphic LCD display with on-screen help and the ability to display up to twelve parameters simultaneously. The graphic display allows the use of virtual keys for an intuitive user interface.
- Intuitive keyboard: the equipment's rubber keyboard has dedicated keys for power, backlight, up/down arrows, help, and alphanumeric characters. The meter also features two programmable keys accessible to the user through the window of each parameter, the meter, and the data log. The interface is intuitive for any user's experience level.
- Help key: contextual help is always available through the "HELP" key. Instructions and tutorial messages are available on-screen to quickly and easily guide users through the page. The help information displayed is relative to the option currently being viewed.
- Automatic sensor recognition: the probe and meter automatically recognize connected sensors. Any unused port on the probe will not have its parameter shown or configured.
- Automatic temperature compensation: the integrated temperature sensor allows automatic compensation of pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen measurements.
- Automatic barometric pressure compensation: the meter features a built-in barometer with user-selectable units for dissolved oxygen pressure compensation.
- Quick calibration: quick calibration offers a fast and single calibration for pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen. Standard calibration options are available, including up to three points for pH, one point for conductivity, and up to two points for dissolved oxygen.
- GLP data: the HI9829 multiparameter includes a GLP function that allows users to access calibration data and calibration expiration information at the touch of a button. Calibration data includes the date, time, solutions used for calibration, and slope characteristics.
