Waterra inertial pump

Waterra inertial pump

The Waterra sampling system is efficient and cost-effective for making controls and taking samples within a 1” to 4” Ø piezometer. It is ideal for purging and sampling in murky or settled water.

Description

Características

  • Reduced cost for monitoring a network of piezometers.
  • The risk of cross contamination is avoided. Each piezometer is equipped with its own valve and tube.
  • Materials in contact with water are chemically inert (HDPE).
  • Integrity of the samplings.
  • Very easy pumping with charged water.
  • Low maintenance.
  • Quick start-up and collection of the equipment.

Funcionamiento

The inertial system consists of a Delrin or stainless-steel valve, screwed onto a HDPE semi-rigid tube, which we insert into the piezometer.

By exerting a vertical translational movement on the tube it is achieved, by inertia, that the water rises to the surface. If we increase the frequency of the movement, we will obtain a greater flow.

It can be operated manually up to 20m, or automatically (with electric and gasoline engines) up to 50-60m.

Aplicaciones

Manual Pumping: The Waterra pump allows shallow sampling (up to 20 m). Valves can be used in all existing diameters.

Flow: 0 to 2 litres per minute.

Pumping with an electric motor

The use of the electric motor: allows the Waterra system to offer very good extraction results.

Adaptable on piezometers of all diameters, the Hidrolift II motor moves easily and does not need any particular installation.

Extraction depth

  • 50 to 60 meters inside 2’’ wells.
  • 50 meters inside 4’’ wells.

See Hydrolift II engine data sheet.

Use with gasoline engine

The use of the electric motor: allows the Waterra system to offer very good extraction results.

Adaptable on piezometers of all diameters, the Power Pack PP1 motor allows easy transport due to its harness and backpack and can work in media where there is no power supply.

See data sheet of the Power Pack PP1 gasoline engine.

Accessories

  • High turbidity filter to improve the quality of the sample.
  • Pipe cutter.
  • Key to remove the valves.
